SKIP (Salt Lake City, UT)
Upstart SKIP – an independent mobile shopping application – has been through several UI/UX redesigns of their popular mobile shopping app, a few of which we were fortunate to be a part of.
We helped to design the complete UI / UX for their 2nd iteration (including page layout, icon and text design, and animation), and assisted with marketing media for their 3rd and 4th designs. We also developed an exploratory for future branding iterations, creating a library of nearly 80 variations of text and image-based designs.

VIDEO DESIGN
For the app’s second generation, we created fully-animated videos for formal pitch presentations, speaking engagements, event displays, online marketing, and the mobile app. Through animation clips, we also created a visual guide for app developers to recreate.
For the app’s 3rd and 4th iterations, we developed marketing videos and in-app explainer videos.
APP DESIGN + ICONOGRAPHY
We worked in tandem with the app creators to develop a new look, layout, animation, and overall design language for their second generation of the app. The creators had a specific style in mind, and we helped to implement this, along with suggestions on other specs.
Iconography
We helped to develop iconography and overall visual language to the owner’s design preferences and tech spec.
UI / UX Design
Working directly with app creators, we aided in developing the design (UI) and navigation (UX) for the app’s second iteration, including layout, color, animation, and functionality.
Style Guidelines
We created a styleguide detailing design intent to spec, for developers to follow when coding the app.
